What We Believe…

We are an American Baptist Church and are affiliated with the conservative renewal movement in our denomination.
Like all Baptists, we hold to the Bible as our source of authority. The theology of our church can be summed up as follows:
In accordance with the historic Baptist tradition, we hold to
Believers Baptism by Immersion,
Liberty of Conscience,
the Separation of Church and State,
and the Priesthood of the Believer.

We also affirm the following distinctives which need emphasis at the present time:

I. The Authority of Scripture
The Bible is the inspired, authoritative and infallible Word of God and is our sole rule of faith and practice. It is the standard by which all human conduct and creeds should be tried.
II. The Trinity
There is only one true and living God who is manifested in three eternal and coequal persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God possesses holiness, omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, love, mercy, and all other perfections. All humankind owes to Him supreme faith and obedience.
III. Humankind
Humankind has been created in the image of God but through Adam's fall is now sinful, lost and condemned. By deliberate choice all participate in sin, which is open rebellion to God's law. Notwithstanding the fall, all human life from the moment of conception through creation has value and dignity.
IV. Justification by Faith
Human beings can be forgiven of sin and justified solely through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ who died for sinners and rose again from the dead. Only by repentance from sin and faith in Jesus Christ the Lord can acceptance with God be attained.
V. Regeneration
Regeneration is the work of the Holy Spirit by which the believer receives a new nature from God. Christian growth or sanctification is the continuation of the new life principle which begins in the new birth.
VI. The Church
The church in its widest sense includes all believers of all ages. The church is manifested visibly in the local body of baptized believers who covenant together to worship, observe the ordinances, and evangelize.
VII. Human Destiny
Jesus Christ will eventually return visibly at which time He will raise the dead and judge all people. Believers will enjoy an eternal state of blessedness in heaven while unbelievers will experience eternal separation from God in hell.
VIII. Evangelism and Social Concern
The church has been called to preach the gospel so that individual people can receive salvation. Also the church is to become involved in the improvement of society by advocating Biblical principles which confront poverty, racism, violence, and all forms of injustice against humanity.
IX. Human Sexuality
God's design is that man and woman either be joined together in a perpetual monogamous relationship or live in a single state. Extra-marital sex, adultery and homosexuality are inconsistent with biblical teaching.

Who we are as a Church

Located just outside of historic Mt Holly, NJ, in Eastampton Township, FBC is a thoroughly evangelical, Bible believing fellowship that strives to remain connected with other Christian missions both locally and globally.  We are a multicultural family congregation with both traditional and contemporary worship opportunities each Sunday.
We believe that our children and students are priceless. We have a paid staff that carefully screens and trains our volunteers who pour themselves into our Sunday worship and discipleship times, as well as our midweek children and youth ministries, youth choirs and student group fellowships. Our kids here at FBC are invited to learn, pray and play as they grow into the image of Jesus Christ. We cannot afford to entertain them at the expense of losing them to the domain of darkness.
Our adult ministries include serious Sunday elective classes, music and worship arts, and a restructured small group strategy that encourages the home group fellowship dynamic. Men and women’s ministries are in constant motion with retreats, social events and accountability opportunities for those who desire to remain strong and connected.
Please spend some time on our Missions page. A few lines here will not do it justice. Check in periodically for our next short-term mission work team date. We prepare, plan for and send teams out often. The hour is late. We must not delay. Time is short.

Meet the Ingram Family

ingrams

Pastor Bob and Rebecca Ingram began to lead FBC in 2004. They share in the raising of four children, Chad, Emily, Megan and David. Home and family are their first priority always. Pastor Bob’s leadership does not intend to produce merely Bible knowledge, but transformed lives as truth is made practical to everyday life in the home, workplace and public square. We have a charge from God to shape and preserve our culture; not to cave into the slippery slope of cultural tolerance and trend. It is time for Christians to live up to this calling: “For you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9

Mission Statement: FBC exists to build community in Christ and to reach communities for Christ across the street and around the world.
