As men, we want more from life than just punching the time clock and getting caught up in the rat race. We want to live with a higher purpose. That's why we invite you to take a closer look at Men's Ministry at FBC. No matter what background you come from, our vision is to help you experience God's best in every aspect of life!
The supreme purpose behind all we do is to help men become strong followers of Jesus Christ; men who will serve Christ faithfully and joyfully at home, at church, and throughout the community. We have designed four different kinds of Men's Ministry events to help you in every stage of your journey with Him.
Bridge Building Events: These include recreational events like going to baseball games, going fishing, or watching a football game at someone's house on a Sunday afternoon. These also include work projects done to help those who are in need. Events like these provide a great opportunity for "building bridges" with one another - strengthening existing friendships and building new ones too!
Good News Events: Our quarterly Men's Breakfast is one example of a Good News event. We start by enjoying a full breakfast in a casual atmosphere After the meal is over, a special speaker shares a real life story about how he decided to follow Jesus, and how God has worked in his life since then. These simple stories are dynamic! They are an excellent way to help every man find total forgiveness, a fresh start, and an unshakable confidence that God will never let him down.
Spiritual Growth Events: Men's Ministry at FBC provides several opportunities for you to grow strong in your walk with God.
- Men's Bible Studies are offered to help you grow in your knowledge of God's Word.
- Men's Sunday School Classes are offered to help you learn more about how to live for God in today's world.
- Men's Accountability Groups are offered to help you develop supportive friendships with just one or two other guys just like you, who want to be men of integrity.
Leadership Training Events: True spiritual leadership begins with the way we serve others at home, at church and throughout the community, even without a formal title or position! Our leadership training events are designed to help you fulfill your call to leadership by learning to use your gifts and talents more effectively for God.
